Red Arrows & Dakota flypast, Strawberry Daquiris and a fractured foot!

Almost halfway through the year, and it feels like summer is arriving. The weather has been pretty good this weekend, the World Cup is underway and Mr Fixit & I are looking forward to a short break very soon to my beloved Weymouth!

Friday evening saw us cooking burgers and sausages in the garden on the Ninja Woodfire (another one of my favourite gadgets) & drinking Strawberry Daquiris made with fresh strawberries, courtesy of one of my son-in-laws – a lovely start to the weekend!

This morning, however, saw us at A&E in our local hospital as Mr Fixit managed to slip down a few stairs yesterday and injured his foot…..cue me being sympathetic, putting an ice pack on his swollen foot etc. It wasn’t any better this morning and slightly more alarming, when he tried to walk on it there was a noticeable click with every step. Turns out he has a minor fracture and is now sporting a very stylish walking boot!

Another highlight of our weekend was seeing the Dakota doing a flypast over our garden and a glimpse of the Red Arrows in the distance (blink & you’ll miss them!). Apologies for the awful sound quality, video editing is not one of my strengths – I’m still learning!
