What a game! Great score too, 4-2 to England against Croatia. I really enjoyed watching the game, it was certainly not dull and probably the best opening game of a major tournament I’ve ever seen England play. Sure, they looked a bit nervy to start but once Kane scored that penalty, the team seemed more settled. The second half was even better, and England certainly tested the Croatian keeper, all credit to him for some crucial saves.
My 7 year old granddaughter wore her England socks to bed for luck (the match was way past her bedtime on a school night) and it certainly worked, unfortunately for her, she’s going to have to wear them for every England game now!
So, dare we hope that it’s coming home this year? Fingers crossed!
