Nom, Nom, Nom!

One of my latest loves is Pinch of Nom – I bought one of their recipe books in Aldi (where else!) just after Christmas. The recipes are really easy to follow and great if you are looking for recipes to help with weight loss or just want some good healthier option, tasty recipes.

I wasn’t looking for recipe book for slimming recipes, but I do love a recipe book and Mr Fixit and I are trying to eat a little more healthily and it was an Aldi Specialbuy so I was already almost sold! I had a quick flick through the book before I bought it and it looked well laid out and I was pretty sure there were some recipes there that Fussy Eater Mr Fixit would enjoy. We’ve tried a few things, Cock and Bull (that was quite a hit), Cuban Beef (he wasn’t so keen on that one), Goulash (he really like that), and Bacon, Onion & Potato bake which he also enjoyed.

The book was great, but then I discovered the website – wow! It’s amazing, lots of recipes, lots of tips and hints and swaps to make the recipes for different dietary needs, eg Gluten Free, Vegan, very handy for me as we have both in our family.

The website is easy to navigate too, you can either browse the different categories or use the search function to find recipes containing a specific ingredient or recipe. If you are following a weight loss diet, each recipe states how many calories it has if made according to ingredient list & instructions, and how many Weight Watchers points it is.

I’ve made Carrot & Butterbean Soup several times and used the Yorkshire pudding recipe to use up some eggs I had lurking in the cupboard. We had some of the yorkies with dinner and the rest are now safely stashed in the freezer. The storage tips and instructions are one of the features I like best about the website, I love recipes that I can freeze and having the instructions for reheating is so useful..

The Carrot & Butterbean soup and can confirm that it is delicious, I can’t wait to have a portion for lunch tomorrow.! The link for the soup is below so try it for yourself!

There is a whole range of Pinch of Nom books available, such as Quick & Easy Recipes, Comfort Food Recipes and some for cooking styles too like the the Air Fryer Recipe book.
